VNIS Vietnam (the Company) is seeking one (01) Volunteer Coordinator for the organization of the Fall 2014 VNIS U.S. Education Fairs

DIRECT SUPERVISOR:      Managing Director
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Volunteer Recruitment & Training
 
Recruit and train qualified volunteers, using appropriate communication channels (in-person or Skype) in coordination with VNIS staff;
Appoint volunteers to their appropriate roles on the fair day.

Marketing & Promotion
 
Before fair day: Create, manage and supervise volunteers to conduct all appropriate marketing campaigns, including online channels (social networks, forums, e-magazines, etc.) and offline channels (material distribution at schools and universities, etc.);

On fair day: manage and support volunteers in terms of the following: their punctuality, appointed roles, and some administrative tasks related to volunteers; support VNIS staff for the success of the event.

Reporting:

Submit periodical reports to the Board of Directors on all aspects of the responsible areas to maintain efficiency and high quality of the Fall 2014 VNIS U.S. Education Fairs;

Others:

Other tasks assigned by the Board of Directors;
Provide input about various tasks of the Company’s work.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Resides in Danang (preferably high school or university students);
Good command of both spoken and written English/Vietnamese (this will be tested);
Computer literacy – competence in the use of common office software packages including word processors, spreadsheets, basic databases, powerpoint, emails, etc;
Good understanding of U.S. education system are preferred;
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and cross-cultural skills;
Deadline, multitask and independent working oriented;
Team work spirit.
